Open Letter for Janine Tugonon's Ex-Boyfriend

Medyo na-turn off at na-disappoint kaming mag-asawa kay Janine, Ms. Janine Mari Raymundo Tugonon... Here's why?!

It was my first time to watch Kris TV (no chance to do so because of work, classes) at sakto naman na bongga pa ang episode, naging viral. Well, two of the guests were Janine Tugonon and her bf, (turned ex-bf after their revelation of not in good terms or break-up on national TV) Jaypee Santos. While they were having chats (cooking Tinola), Janine told Kris that they're not in good terms.

Watch here na lang so you could relate more... kasi mahabang kwento, saka mas bongga sa video.  Gigil mode.  :-)

Hubby and I began to be more interested so we paid more attention. When we saw her bf, di talaga kami makapaniwala. Hubby even said "Wow, true love!" Oh well, not after seeing Janine telling stories (habang kinikilig at parang teenager kung umasta) about her and Danny (Daniel John Mark Luke O'Donoghue, The Script, lead vocalist). Even the hosts were on the side of Jaypee.

Well, here is another humor piece to ponder on...

Dear Ex ni Janine Tugonon,

Kamusta?

In front of National TV, pinagmukha kang tanga. YOU DON’T DO THAT TO ME!!! YOU DON’T DO THAT TO ME!!!” Hashtag.

Kudos, Mr. Aj Perez (Alwyne Jan C. Perez)! Isa ka pong henyo! Ang galing! Bigla akong naging avid reader ng blog mo. It's also nice to know na classmate/friend mo ang barkada ko na si Avegail Andres (I saw on FB).  :-) Cheers!

Easy and Smart Answers in a Job Interview

Job interviews? Be worry-free as this post aims to give you some tips as to how you could answer interview questions. Be smart and confident! God bless and good luck! Cheers!

1. What does Music mean to you?
Music is my therapy. It moves me and makes me feel better, spiritually inspired, physically and intellectually motivated and emotionally rejuvenated. Music teaches people various ways to live, makes us feel good, and explains many things and situations without any effort. As they say, music can make you go beyond your limitations and feel powerful like never before.  Yes, for me, music is my food for my soul. The relaxing and soothing effect it could give its listeners is remarkably overwhelming. I couldn’t imagine my life without music.

2. What advise would you give high school leavers in the Philippines on the under graduate course that they should pursue and the job prospects when they graduate?
Education is both a right and a privilege. Drop-outs and out-of-school youths must be strongly encouraged to go back into schooling and enjoy the fun learning experience. They should be assured of the kind of quality education they could get and go through over the years.

More so, it should be discussed to them that earning a degree or finishing a course could make them do things in bigger and greater ways. They could earn more and have more possibilities if they would finish their studies; they could make their dreams come true on a faster pace and at their own advantage and comfort. For as long as they have their plans and dreams, they could definitely achieve the desires of their hearts.

3. In what way(s) could you be an effective and efficient Personal Secretary/Writer?
Becoming an effective and efficient personal assistant and writer requires skills and experiences. You may meet challenges and pressures in your tasks but what matters the most is the ability of dealing with the situations accordingly and responsively. You must consider your boss as your mentor and partner, working together towards the same organizational or institutional strategic objectives.

Thinking of the best things to do and coming up with good choices or decisions must be a skill for you to carry out your task more effectively. You must also be open for suggestions and recommendations, for changes and development, and for more possibilities. Working with passion, commitment and professionalism is a key; it must be practiced and observed at all times. Most of all, you should never cease to learn and work harder to meet your personal and professional growth.

4. Why have you applied for this job and what are your career and personal plans?
Since I intend to work at home and accept home-based jobs as a freelancer, I have decided to give your job offer a try. Being a college/university professor for almost a decade, a mass media practitioner, a journalist, and a business executive administrator, I was able to obtain professional growth.

However, since I prioritize giving much time with my family (my husband and a kid), I grabbed online job opportunities like this just like what I did two years ago. And I hope that this again would work for me. I really wish to enjoy the privilege of working to make a living and achieve career growth while I enjoy the comforts of my home.

I think this job post would work for me as I have relevant work experiences of becoming both an effective personal secretary and an efficient writer.

All my previous work ventures are considered great learning experiences where I use and practice my knowledge, expertise, skills and experiences. I plan to still widen my horizons of more professional job opportunities as I work on with preparing myself to bear a second child. All these I wish to attain with His grace and blessings.

5. What are your comments /observations on the present standard of spoken English communication skills in the Philippines?
Having English as a Second Language (ESL) here in the Philippines, I could say that Filipinos are at far ahead with other countries when it comes to using English as their medium of instruction and communication. It is both an advantage and a privilege that we have English as a core subject in the Philippine Basic Education curriculum where kids and even toddlers are taught both formal and conversational English. This makes most of us proficient and fluent in using the language; thus, being exposed to using the language often helps us get used to it.

It is also evident that we’ve got more and more investors who would put up their business here – Business Process Outsourcing and many other third-party service provider business ventures. Meaning, foreign investors have trust and confidence with the communication skills of the Filipinos – be it spoken or written English. Many Filipinos are also hired as literacy coaches, online English instructors, and Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). These are just some of concrete and living evidences that could support my stand on the quality of spoken English we have here in the Philippines.

News Cafe at Ramada Central - Yummy Lunch Buffet

Hubby and I decided to dine in again at News Cafe, Mezzanine Level, Ramada Manila Central - but this time we would enjoy our dining experience with our unico hijo, Eieo.

We arrived at the hotel around 11:55 a.m., Tuesday (April 9) after paying respect and saying our prayer intentions at Binondo Church, Basilica Minor of San Lorenzo Ruiz.

We headed our way up to the mezzanine and were  greeted with sweet smiles from the entire staff. We really felt so welcomed and humbled to be dealt with accommodating, sincere and courteous Ramada Manila Central, News Cafe team. They're all awesome! Kudos!

Our Extremely Satisfying Dining Experience:
We tried to get a little of everything and decided to indulge in every bite. And we didn't go wrong to really try it out... Though they had fresh green salads, we didn't put it on our plate because we already had it in our breakfast buffet. And we wish to save much space for new menus.

To start the meal right and healthy, our appetizers:
Fresh Fruits - melon and watermelon
Creamy Mushroom Soup

Main Course:
Fried Rice, Mixed Buttered Vegetables, Moroccan Fish Fillet with Tomato Salsa, Roasted Rosemary Chicken with Capsicum Sauce, Baked Porkloin with Creamy Parsley Sauce, Cheesy Beef Stroganoff, Baby Back Ribs (hubby's fave).

Carbonara was also awesome! So creamy and flavorful!

Eieo enjoyed the mushrooms and mixed buttered veggies.

Desserts:
Eieo: Strawberry Panacotta and Crema de Pandan (plus two choco-dipped mallows)
Hubby: Red Kaong, Macapuno and Leche flan
Me: Classic Chocolate Cake and Leche flan

We tried a scoop of ice cream but failed to enjoy their very own halo-halo because we felt that we were so full. We also had no space for breads, pastas and other sweets.

What else could we ask for! This is the life - fun and oh so fulfilling!

Before we really enjoyed our breakfast buffet at News Cafe Ramada (read the previous blog HERE), today we say that we even love our lunch - enticing, flavorful, delicious and oh so palatable. Yum!

To the entire Ramada Manila Central team, keep it up and we look forward to more sumptuous and mouth-watering dining experiences with you. Cheers!

Special thanks to:
Ms. Gillian Ann Y. Sia Sin
Reservations and Revenue Specialist

... for working on my reservations and rescheduling. You've been so accommodating and so nice to me and my queries/concerns, of course.   :-)

As of the moment, hubby and I really would recommend this and would pass the good news on. So my dear readers and fellow bloggers, you may consider visiting Ramada Manila Central, News Cafe and enjoy your dining experience, too.

This is really a must-try! You'll love it. Satisfaction guaranteed.

Oh well, let me get straight to the point.

Price - 4/5 (good at Php 595 per person)
Food/Taste - 4.5/5 (great dining experience)
Service - 5/5 (all were courteous and nice)
Ambiance - 4/5 (very relaxing and cozy but may be too crowded; space may be so limited for many guests)
Proximity - 3/5 (still need to take a cab though because we didn't bring Uno, our Suzuki Escudo as we would have a hard time finding good parking spaces and just couldn't imagine how long could we be trapped in a heavy traffic)
Overall Value - 4.5/5 (thumbs up!)

xoxo,

Mommy Mai

It Takes a Man and a Woman - A Must-See Movie

Super fun. Everybody said he/she had so much fun. When I got to watch this movie, I felt the same way. Everyone was laughing out loud at the theater. Oh I so love the "Zoila and Friends" ...

The dialogues, punchlines and all were perfectly directed and executed. Laughing out loud, everyone enjoyed every scene. It was super kilig. Their chemistry was really felt.

The film is commendable for its cheesy, mushy, funny lines accompanied with very good representations of its lead and supporting actors. Thumbs up! Keep it up!  :-)

Pep.ph ...

It Takes a Man and a Woman is the third time that John Lloyd Cruz and Sarah Geronimo are seen on the big screen as Miggy Montenegro and Laida Magtalas, respectively.

This “version 3.0” of one of the most successful love teams in Philippine movie history comes four years after its sequel You Changed My Life.

One need not watch the first two films in order to appreciate It Takes a Man and a Woman since the movie can stand on its own story-wise. Also, this Cathy Garcia Molina film doesn’t begin where it last left off.

However, previous knowledge of Miggy and Laida’s dynamic would make the experience of watching It Takes a Man and a Woman more fun, if not more "kilig."

See more reviews, here.

The film's director Cathy Garcia-Molina made it sure John Lloyd and Sarah will be doing their best while enjoying the set. The bloopers in the end proved it. As a result, the lead actors' portrayal of their roles were realistic, lovely, believable, and commendable. The two characters have transformed into a "man" and a "woman" and it just didn't take the kilig moments for the movie to be satisfying, but also how the characters made the problems and trials of their lives instruments and reasons to forgive, and eventually love again.

The film, although predictable, is still a must-see not only of its lead stars' performances and undeniably exceptional onscreen partnership, but also because of the values it wants to instill its viewers.

Anawangin Cove Tour: Our Budget-Friendly Escapade

Anawangin Cove in San Antonio, Zambales - Hooray! See you soon!

Hubby, Eieo and I would enjoy this getaway either late this month or early next month, May 2013. We would enjoy the beach, the sand and the camping experience with a couple of friends and we'd surely have this celebrate with a big blast.

Excited much!

Hope this would be a fun, safe and hassle-free summer getaway for the family.

Keeping my fingers crossed.

Enjoy the heat and the fun this summer time would give us!

Happy vacation, everyone!
