Enrique Iglesias recovers from a concert drone mishap

Latin heartthrob and singer, Enrique Iglesias was recovering from a drone accident in his concert last May 30, Saturday night at Plaza de Toros de Playas in Tijuana, Mexico.

A drone is usually used in concerts like this to capture crowd shots and give the audience a ‘Point of View’ shot. But when the 40-year old and multi-awarded artist, Iglesias, attempted to grab the camera-carrying drone, two of his fingers were sliced. "Something went wrong and he had an accident," one of his representatives posted on Instagram.

The show must go on
Though he was advised to end the show, he just went to the side of the stage where he was given an immediate remedy to try and stop the bleeding.

According to Joe Bonilla, Iglesias’ press agent, he still decided to perform for 30 minutes while the bleeding continued throughout the show. Photos went viral on social media where he was still seen performing onstage even if his left hand was already tied up.

“He was rushed to the airport where an ambulance met him there. He was then put on a plane to L.A. to see a specialist,” his publicist affirmed in his statement.

His decision to continue performing despite the bleeding made the 12,000 concertgoers applaud him more. Many of the pop star’s fans shared their admiration to Iglesias on social media where they posted photos of him, performing with blood all over his white T-shirt. For them, the Spanish singer’s professionalism is really commendable.

Enrique Iglesias and his team also expressed their appreciation and gratitude to his fans for their untiring support, wishes, and prayers.

He recently got 19 nominations and nine awards in 2015 Billboard Latin Music Awards. According to his website, his next show is set in July in Mexico City, still part of Iglesias’ Sex and Love World Tour.

Detecting Cancer through Blood Tests

Having the ability to spread throughout the body rapidly, cancer has been identified to be one of the major causes of death in many countries as stated in the annual report of Cancer Facts and Figures 2013.

Cancer refers to a large number of diseases characterized by the growth of abnormal cells, which divide and develop out of control. Though certain kinds of cancer can be treated with chemotherapy and other homeopathic remedies, experts always believe that early diagnosis still works best.

Individuals, who are already experiencing signs and symptoms of cancer, are highly advised to seek help from qualified medical experts to undergo comprehensive medical check-ups and corresponding laboratory tests.

One of which is the complete blood count (CBC), a blood test that helps detect some blood cancers, including some diseases like multiple myeloma, leukemia, and lymphoma. Through this, the patient will determine his blood cell count and if each measurement is still within the normal range or typical test value.

There have also been some innovative blood tests to aid in early detection of cancer such as the Lymphocyte Genome Sensitivity (LGS) test, a universal blood test that measure the damage of white blood cells, and the AMAS  (Anti-Malignin Antibody in Serum), an antibody test that measures the levels of antibody in the system.

Though these new pioneering tests are relatively new in the medical practice, many cancer specialists still recommend and administer these cancer diagnostic tests. Medical researchers and health practitioners from different parts of the world continue their efforts in enhancing existing cancer treatment procedures and discovering new trends and practices to fight cancer.

Most importantly, if one is diagnosed with cancer, it would be helpful if he/she can get the best support group to easily deal and cope with cancer. Many patients have recovered from cancer primarily because of effective cancer management program, continuous medication and therapy, and most of all, a caring support system that gives them emotional and moral support.

Let's fight cancer... remembering Tito Dong.

I Love Mustela Philippines - Perfect for Moms and Babies with Sensitive Skin

Our unico hijo has a very sensitive skin. He's cow's milk allergy when he was a baby (Isomil kiddo) and also experienced skin asthma and other atopic dermatitis.

When this skin irritations occurred sometime in 2009 and 2010, we needed to consult to several dermatologists and would spend thousands on his creams, oils, soaps, and ointments.

His daily regimen when he was younger was no joke. We even had a specialist, a pedia-derma at UST Hospital, to see him and get the best remedies.

I always praise God that he is able to outgrow these allergies as he grows older. Boosting his immune system and keeping him always safe and away from all forms of allergens.

His soaps are all-natural, organic soaps. Now that I have just received samples from Mustela Philippines, we have just given it a try and are beginning to love it... smells so good and gives you that "soft and smooth" feeling.
