Learning from You - Living a Lifetime with You

What My Husband Has Taught Me

The sweetest “I love you” is felt. It’s even sweeter than the ones being heard.

All things happen for a reason - even if you have no idea what that reason is at the time. Tests of faith are indeed blessings from Him.

You can be better or bitter. Get that positive outlook at all times.

Life is a choice - as is how you handle the pitfalls along its bumpy road.

Always be happy so you can have the guts to make other people happy. You have to decide or choose to be happy.

Sometimes genuine happiness is found at home.

Learn how to say no and never feel guilty.

Accept what you cannot change.

I’ve just realized that I have learned a lot from him. I just hope he also has learned a lot from me.

And I know there is a lot more to come.

(December 16) Getting married for five years and so much in love more than nine years, hubby and I do not live a perfect married life. We have our own ups and downs, petty quarrels, arguments, misunderstandings, pillow fights, and the like. Though these circumstances do not happen often, we always manage to settle things out or just have it passed by without even saying sorry or anything.

On the brighter side, we believe that after each usual “tampuhan” between a husband and a wife, we tend to be more in love with each other.

And yes, I would always love to wake up each morning with him and our kid/s at my side. Nothing beats the kind of happiness I feel every time I see my loved ones – families, relatives and friends around me.

I will forever look forward to a new morning with you, Dad. As we grow old together, I pray that we live longer, happier and healthier to face each morning – side by side, holding hands.

This is indeed a lifetime for you and me. We’ll grow old together because the best is yet to come.

God Gave Me You... And Forever I'd be so Grateful to Him

It was on December 14, 2002 when we started our own love story, a romantic piece that should be treasured and cherished for a lifetime. We had our own ups and downs but we managed to keep a promise and stay together.

We've got the best love story to share ... a friendship turned into something special, a friendship bloomed into something sweeter, and a relationship that could spell out F-O-R-E-V-E-R.

True enough that there are no fairy tales but there can always be happy endings - because we tied a knot on December 16, 2006 (just right after our four-year engagement). It was a very wonderful experience, an awesome memento that I'd always look back.

Walking down the aisle, hearing you sing love songs intended for me, and seeing you standing there with our families, loved ones, relatives and friends, above all, so close to God, made me feel more tensed yet so overwhelmed and excited.

Then Eieo came in to make our love story better, happier and more exciting to share... such a blessing that we would forever be thankful for. Today I live a happy, simple life that I couldn't ask for more. I am fulfilled and blessed, enough to make me feel so inspired and overwhelmed.

Happy Anniversary, sweetie. Wishing us more years together as we keep our love burning. You are indeed a blessing.

I love you.

With all that, we will surely be each other's First and Last.
Cheers to a happier and a more blessed marriage.

God Gave Me You – Bryan White

For all the times I felt cheated, I complained
You know how I love to complain
For all the wrongs I repeated, though I was to blame
I still cursed that rain
I didn’t have a prayer, didn’t have a clue

Then out of the blue
God gave me you to show me what’s real
There’s more to life than just how I feel
And all that I’m worth is right before my eyes
And all that I live for though I didn’t know why
Now I do, ’cause God gave me you

For all the times I wore my self pity like a favorite shirt
All wrapped up in that hurt
For every glass I saw, I saw half empty
Now it overflows like a river through my soul
From every doubt I had, I’m finally free

I truly believe
God gave me you to show me what’s real
There’s more to life than just how I feel
And all that I’m worth is right before my eyes
And all that I live for though I didn’t know why
Now I do, ’cause God gave me you

In your arms I’m someone new
With ever tender kiss from you
Oh must confess
I’ve been blessed
God gave me you to show me what’s real
There’s more to life than just how I feel
And all that I’m worth is right before my eyes
And all that I live for though I didn’t know why (didn’t know why)
Now I do (I finally do), ’cause God gave me you (God gave me You)
God gave me you

Alkaline Diet: A Weight-Loss Fad Alternative

Are you having weight problems? Do you wish to shed extra pounds yet you don’t have much time to go to they gym and get some workouts? Well, if you are looking for naturally safe and healthy way to burn some unwanted fats in the belly as well as those unnecessary calories, read on and realize how alkaline diet can make you feel, look and live better.

Health experts and professionals believe that for you to enjoy optimum health, the body needs balanced quantities of alkaline and acid substances. Many organic balances are necessary for good health: those between activity and rest, inhalation and exhalation, venous and arterial blood, energy intake and expenditure, and the production and elimination of toxins. With that, people need to only bring in what their body need – good enough to live the life they want and pursue daily activities.

Also known as alkaline ash diet, alkaline acid diet and the acid alkaline diet, alkaline diet is an eating habit that includes fresh fruits, vegetables, roots and tubers, nuts, and legumes into your daily meals. Foods, which are high in minerals containing elements like calcium, iron, magnesium, zinc and copper, are classified as alkaline, acid or neutral. Therefore, this includes eating certain fresh citrus and other low-sugar fruits, vegetables, tubers, nuts, and legumes and avoiding grains, dairy, meat, sugar, alcohol and caffeine.

Generally, this diet aids in maintaining the alkaline level of the body’s pH (potential hydrogen). This process helps your vital organs to function well and optimizes the absorption of the essential vitamins and minerals. Otherwise, such imbalances may lead to both short term and long-term damage to the body system – increasing the risks of chronic diseases and infections.

Alkaline Diet: On Health and Weight Loss Concerns

Yes, it is true that this diet can help you lose weight. Thus, you should also bear in mind that more than shedding extra pounds and burning some unwanted fats, this is also highly recommended to those who desire to regain lost optimum health and redirect them to a longer and healthier life.

The following are health indications that you are in need of an acid alkaline diet because you have excess acidity in the body:
• Those who live a very busy life and are pressured and stressed out because of their hectic schedules and loads of work to do.
• Those with low energy levels and feel tired most of the times.
• Those who suffer from frequent viral infections, nasal congestions and other recurring cold, flu and fever.
• Those who are experiencing muscle and joint pains, headaches, leg cramps and spasms, as well as indigestion and the weakening of nails, teeth, bones and hair.

I Committed a Violation...

I shall not do this again...

However, I had a great breakfast: a slice of wheat bread, cheese and milk; for my lunch: fish (Tilapia), good amount of rice, buttered veggies (beans, carrots, corns and water chestnuts) for my side dish, and lots of water; for my dinner: oatmeal and lots of water. :)

Still, I had a BIG no-no for snacks. Boo... have to really get away from temptations... sodas and ice cream.

The Happy Fruit

Some Filipinos like us are used to calling the Yellow Yummy Banana as a happy fruit. Rich in fiber, potassium and other vitamins and minerals, which are all essential in living a healthier and happier life, banana promotes healthy digestion and creates a feeling of youthfulness.

Hubby Ren and I are both happy and thankful that our son, lil Eieo loves to eat banana (saging in Filipino) before or after his meal especially at lunch time. He’d get one from the table while smiling and giggling; he’d immediately peel it off on his own and take one big yummy bite. We can always see and feel the excitement, joy and satisfaction he’s experiencing every time he eats banana.

We’re so proud of our precious one – a toddler who loves eating banana as well as other nutritious fruits, vegetables and fish. Well, not all kids would love to eat those foods, right?

A banana a day keeps you smiling and happy all day. Take a bite today and feel great about yourself.

Encourage and motivate your kids to eat and love bananas, I’d love to pass the good news on. This happy fruit can surely help our children grow healthier, smarter and happier. Happy eating!
