Eieo's First Field Trip with JVCMSI Family

Happiness is a choice, a gift from God that we shall all savor and be thankful for. And seeing our unico hijo feel so happy makes the rewards of parenthood more special. 

He always finds ways to enjoy his schooling and academic experiences with his friends, classmates, schoolmates and mentors.

Since I have already blogged about how hubby and I are both feeling blessed to finally find a good school for our kiddo (read my blog HERE… JVCMSI, our newly found ‘gem’), I intend to write something about his new experiences this time.

One of our child’s academic milestones is to participate in educational tours. During his first grade at JVCMSI, hubby and I joined him on this fun-filled learning experience. 

Enjoying good times, doing playful actions, and feeling very excited and enthusiastic over each ride at Enchanted Kingdom, we know that this has been a priceless experience.

Field trips like this can always be fun and entertaining, such a great learning opportunity for everyone.

Activities like this give students educational experiences away from their regular school environment, a good way to break monotony and routines. Kids can look forward to and prepare for the trip for several days or weeks. Then, they get to spend the day in a different learning environment and can complete a lesson on the topic covered after the trip is over. Learning in different ways can appeal to varied learning styles, helping children to succeed whether they are visual, auditory or kinetic learners.

Students visiting different educational facilities learn in a more hands-on and interactive manner than they do in school. And when done 'right', field trips can be a powerful component of a well-rounded instructional program.

Just keep in mind that safety of everyone, especially the students, is strictly observed; itineraries are relevant and educational, most of all, objectives are met.

To sum it up, everybody had so much fun, a perfect time to bond with families, friends and all.

In our 8-year of relationship and more than a decade of friendship, our Little Prince, our dearest SON, Eieo is the greatest gift we’ve ever had, the most rewarding experience, and the best accomplishment and achievement.

The Best and My Favorite Post on This Blog

I would just like to repost hubby’s message for me days after giving birth to OUR Little Prince, our Unico Hijo, Eieo dated August 22 of last year, 2008.

He posted his message on my personal blog without my knowledge and permission – he did some intrusions on my blog (I perfectly love it though). When I checked my blog to make another post and to my surprise, I was overwhelmed and so kinikilig reading his words and message. Each word and every line had touched my heart and made me shed joyful tears - wasn't really expecting that.

I was so happy then because he seldom says I love you and expresses his feelings – he is not that expressive and showy. But, with this post, I know that I am still the woman he fell in love with almost ten years ago, someone to whom he spent his bachelor days with for five years and to whom he tied a knot almost three years ago. So, here it is… just want to share my happiness with you, my dear readers. Feel his love as much as I did. :-)

LOVING MY WIFE MORE…

It has been a week since our little prince was born…
And honestly, I admire how you managed the pains and long hours of labor just to give birth to our precious one.
I know how you sacrifice even your life and I’m so thankful that God saved you from such risk.
No wonder, pain and hard work really result to glory.

Now, I love you more!
Not only because you’ve given me a child but also because I firmly believe you’re worthy of it.
Certainly, this is not a commitment but I will try my best not to cause you further burden.

I love you better…
I vow to take care of you and our offspring as long as I live.
Let us always replenish our love, everyday; avoiding petty quarrels that make our relationship uneasy.
Let us just focus on how we can abide by our promise to love each other and care for our children.
For who knows, we still are partners, couples even after our lives on earth.

It is Eieo’s Birthday!

On the 14th day of August, this coming Friday, our child will turn One! My hubby and I are both excited to celebrate this one big special day for our very own little prince, Baby Eieo!

Lately we have been so busy doing these tasks: organizing this big event, preparing all the party needs and planning everything.

Eieo learned to laugh and squeal, sit and stand.
Now, he can walk if you hold his hand.
But the fun has only just begun.
Look out world, Our Little Prince is turning ONE!

Isn’t it cute, sweet and unique? Hubby and 1 really tried our very best to make it appear and sound so different, extra special and so personalized. We wanted all the best for our son, for Eieo.

Here is the list of our priorities before his big day:

Setting up a party theme: Ordering and buying Sesame Street Characters, stuffed toys (Elmo for Eieo).
Completing our guests’ lists.
Meeting with the events organizers, coordinators and caterers as well as the clowns, magicians, waiters, etc.
Purchasing all the necessary party needs, stuffs, decorations and accessories.
Venue, birthday cake, chocolate fountains, bubble machines, ice cream and food carts, party needs and souvenirs reservations.
Photo and video coverage.
Invitation lay-out, printing, packaging and distribution.
Party banners and tarpaulin lay-out and printing.
Birthday food taste test.

His Party Needs:

Party and loot bags, party hats, balloons with different shapes and sizes, pop-ups, prizes for games, assorted candies and lollipops, toys for all ages, stuffs for palayok, piñata and pabitin, kiddie and adult sets of chairs and tables, including all the other catering services.

All these must be enjoyed by our 200 guests. Ren and I are keeping our fingers crossed that this will be a successful, fun-filled and exciting event.

We do hope that his first birthday celebration be next to perfection. GOD permits.

Pictures were taken when he was only 11 (at the studio), 7 (in his high-tech walker), 6 (dad made him reach the ceilings of SM the block, one of his mall tours) and 4 (playing and hiding in the blankets) months.

Childhood Moments with MAMA

December 1991, five days before Christmas.
Three tickets to the Movie: Beauty and the Beast.
IS cinema 2, Meycauayan, Bulacan, Philippines.
Popcorn, siopao, soda, chips and crackers.
Mama sits next to me and my dear sister, Pia.

My sis and I were both excited and overwhelmed as we waited the movie to start. This was our first family movie together (my little sister then was only six years old while I just turned eight a week ago). It was really a great bonding time that we could hardly forget.

I just couldn’t imagine how happy we were especially mama as she hugged and kissed her two little girls before, during and after the movie. When we were watching Beauty and the Beast, we kept on asking mama some dialogues as we could barely understand them (we speak Tagalog, by the way.)

What was clear to me: That time we only relied on visuals and common sense… of course! Specific lines and conversations were repeated by mama so as to
let us comprehend and appreciate each scene. The three of us went back home – happy, fulfilled and rejuvenated.

I really miss hanging out with Mama. Pia and I always get excited whenever Mama comes back home from abroad. She is in Macau right now, working and enjoying her days as a junior cook in one of the fine-dining restaurants at Venetian Hotel.

Mama, I just want you to know that we truly miss you. We are so proud of you, Mama. You are our inspiration… our strength and the wind beneath our wings! We love you, Mama Lorrie! We certainly wish that it'll be August 2009 now as you'll be coming home for my son's 1st b-day. See you, Mom.

By the way, early this morning, my little Eieo and I watched the animated film together online and were able to feel the same happiness and joy mom, Pia and I had before… exactly the same, I know. My son laughs out loud and gets more excited whenever he sees the characters move colorfully and sing brilliantly.

These moments are indeed priceless, aren’t they?
