Send Or Share This To Your Friends Whom You Think Need This Most

Here's some thoughts from Jonathan Yabut - The Apprentice Asia Winner

Work or personal life, can never be seen in rose-colored glasses everyday. There will always be tough days when things seem to crumble hopelessly. Don't be a victim of making life-changing decisions (what course should I take in university? Should I quit my job now? Should I shout at him? Should I buy this even if I have so much debt now?) that you will regret during these times. These are the worst times to make those decisions. These are the times when you are vulnerable, irrational, and impulsive. You are likely missing some logic too.

This is the same reason why I defer my SMS or e-mail to people when I get frustrated at them. I count 1-10 and think again. I read my message again a few hours later (or I sleep through it and check the next day) and see if that message was really ME, or someone who was just driven by anger. I calm down and let my rational, quiet self take the driver's seat.

They say that emotional maturity could be the very thin line that sets apart two equally competent workers. One is self-aware, and is able to control himself. Ther other is not. And we all know by now that guys who get promoted at work aren't just promoted based on skills---it's based on how people PERCEIVE them when it times of disasters and problems. It's based on when they're able to step up to the plate without panicking or surrendering easily. They are able to calm down, relax, and think properly without making hasty decisions. They don't base a permanent decision on a temporary emotion.

Here's to wishing we all improve our emotional maturity at work this 2019! :)

Why I Teach Then, Today and Tomorrow...

The Show – Lenka Music Code

Old soldier never seems to die, he just fades away. If he dies with his boots on, I would die with a piece of chalk in my hand.

I was once a teacher; I am an inspired English professor and I will forever be a mentor to anyone.

I educate young minds; I inculcate values in them; I motivate and inspire them in many different ways I know.

Yes, I have already touched thousand lives, and firmly believed that I have left an impact on them - something they could bring with them when they face the real world, when they grow up, and when they pursue the career they have chosen and the life they decided to cherish. I have given them the chance to rediscover themselves and to explore this world - living a life with much love, faith, hope, optimism and perseverance.

This is my profession. This is my passion. And yes, this is one of my inspirations.

In teaching you cannot see the fruit of a day's work. It is invisible and remains so, maybe for twenty years. - Jacques Barzun

A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops. - Henry Brooks Adams

So, I challenge you to make your life like a masterpiece. I challenge you to join the ranks of those people who live what they teach, who walk their talk.

God bless everyone.

This Ends The Semester

I love my students... in the University.

They are my happiness, my inspiration and my motivation to always come to class on time, with a smile and a bunch of creative, innovative and enjoyable teaching strategies and activities - fun, enjoyable, never boring yet so effective methods.

Without saying a word or taking any efforts, they encourage me to continue my deeds and still push through with my aspirations, dreams and missions. You have always helped me in many great ways - just like Eieo, you are my bundles of joy.

Thanks for keeping me inspired, motivated and fulfilled. See you around, my dear students. Good luck and GOD Bless us all.

Teaching is my passion; it is my cup of tea... a very soothing, calming and detoxifying tea, my ultimate beverage.

A Tribute to OUR Dear Madam Cory Aquino

Who she was, she is and she will always be…

A passionate and caring wife to Sen. Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino.
A loving and understanding mother to her children.
A sweet and thoughtful Lola to her grandchildren.
A trustworthy friend.
A creative artist, a painter.

A religious and meek Christian.
A prayerful and grateful fellow.
A devoted prayer and democracy advocate.
A woman of prayer, dignity, principles, integrity and empowerment.

An influential people power icon.
A considerate and supportive politician.
The first lady president in the Philippines and in Asia.
Our former president.

Famous. Rich. Loving. Kind. Blessed. Grateful.

Farewell to OUR Beloved Former President… Mrs. Corazon Cojuangco – Aquino…

Your works, words and service to mankind, your legacy will live forever in the hearts of the Filipino as well as those whom you have touched their hearts and changed their lives.

As she joins her Creator in Heaven… her death.

At the age of 76 on August 1, 2009, 3:18 a.m., at the Makati Medical Center, Mrs. Mrs. Corazon Aquino died of cardiopulmonary arrest after complications of colon cancer. She was diagnosed with the disease in March 2008 but kept up public appearances this year. A religious Catholic, she regularly attended weekend Holy Mass until shortly before being admitted to hospital in late June.

All Roman Catholic dioceses had started requiem masses for Aquino, after they held "healing masses". Meanwhile, the government declared a week of mourning for her death. Political figures both in the local and international arena claim that the Filipinos have just lost a mother and a guiding voice of the people.

Also, many individuals around the globe have extended sympathy and expressed their grief; we along with other people from different nations have truly admired her extraordinary courage, determination, and moral leadership, which serve as an inspiration to all and exemplify the best in the Filipino nation.

Again, we thank you. We'll let the yellow ribbon live on, generation to generation.

We pray for your soul – eternal peace and serenity with OUR Creator, Almighty Father.

With Love and Prayers, Myraine, Rainier and Eieo

So Many Things That We Have to be Thankful for

We have survived a test of faith (the fire incident); we are able to move on and continue to live life positively and to the fullest. This happens ALL because of HIM and HIS people.

Despite of what had happened, we are able to appreciate life, the people around us and all the blessings we have more than we used to. Despite that traumatic incident, we are able to overcome life’s struggles and challenges because of the love, inspiration, hope and strength we have inside.

These are the people and a lot of things that we are thankful for:

Our Heavenly Father, Almighty God.
Our Little Prince, Baby Eieo – Leo Antonio.
Our families and relatives – OUR loved ones.
Our closest, same circles of friends.
Our individual friends, colleagues, neighbors, and acquaintances.
Our brothers and sisters in Faith.
Our spiritual advisers and counselors.
Rev. Msgr. Eppie Castro (St. Francis of Assisi Parish).
Knights of Columbus Council 3941
Various concerned individuals and organizations in our Parish and community.
The firemen, volunteers and some politicians.
My dear Students in the University.
Our concerned clients and virtual friends.

The Bible and the Rosary.
Our Little Prayers.
Inspiring and Motivating Music.
Games and Sports.
Cellular phones.
Computer Unit and Laptop.
Internet Connection.

Foods and drinks, clothes and shelter.
Beautiful churches and recreational places.
Wonderful Planet Earth – the nature and the environment.

Love, Respect, Trust, Unity, and Knowledge.
Hope, Wisdom, Trust, Integrity, and Discernment.
A Challenging yet Fulfilling and Rewarding LIFE to enjoy.

Indeed, we sincerely and humbly thank each and every blessing we have. Thank You!

How I Find Serenity

Whenever I am confused, worried and bothered, it has been my habit to say my short and little prayer to find peace of mind and serenity of the heart.
For a thousand or a million times, this has never failed me.
HE never fails me.

The Serenity Prayer

O God and Heavenly Father,
grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change;
the courage to change the things I can;
and the wisdom to know the difference…
through Jesus Christ, our Lord.
Amen.

After a few clicks from the web, I was able to find the complete, unabridged and original version of the SERENITY PRAYER that I always say during the lowest and darkest times of my life.

With all acknowledgment to Dr. Reinhold Niebuhr (1892-1971), here it is.

God, give us Grace to accept with Serenity
the things that cannot be changed,
Courage to change the things
which should be changed,
and the Wisdom to distinguish
the one from the other.

Living one day at a time,
Enjoying one moment at a time,
Accepting hardship as a pathway to peace,
Taking, as Jesus did,
This sinful world as it is,
Not as I would have it,
Trusting that You will make all things right,
If I surrender to Your will,
So that I may be reasonably happy in this life,
And supremely happy with You forever in the next.

Amen.

Whenever we feel that we need healing, spiritual blessings and graces, we are always encouraged to say this prayer – very short, simple yet amazing!
You’re always in my prayers… GOD Bless Us All.

December 16, 2006... Exchanging of Vows for a Lifetime Commitment

Recipe for a Happy Marriage

1 cupful of consideration
1 cupful of courtesy
2 cupfuls of flattery carefully concealed
2 cupfuls of milk of human kindness
1 gallon of faith in GOD and to each other
2 cupfuls of praise and appreciation
1 small pinch of in-laws
1 reasonable budget
A generous dash of cooperation
3 teaspoons of pure extract of “I am sorry and Thank you.”
1 cupful of contentment
1 cupful each of confidence and encouragement
2 children at least
1 large or several small hobbies
1 cupful of blindness t each other’s faults
Unlimited scoops of unconditional
Love, trust, joy and respect.

Indeed, these ingredients make a yummy, mouth-watering and palatable marriage dish. Together, let us all make our relationships with our better halves deliciously perfect, truly one of a kind. Indulge in each bite and savor each remarkably amazing experience - our lifetime commitment.
God bless!

Blogger's Note: The photos you see are the very few wedding memories which were left after the fire; the rest were just kept in our hearts as well as in the minds of those who attended, our dear 284 guests (loved ones, relatives, friends, special people and many more).
Thanks to social media networking sites like multiply and friendster. Though we were not able to upload all our wedding pics and my child's cute little memories, we are still thankful that there are some uploaded pics to remind us of every moment we have had. Cheers!

How I Live My Life

I always try to live my life as if it were my last…

I work hard to live life to the fullest – trying to make the most out of everything.

I participate and practice this environmental and developmental campaign on waste segregation: I reuse, reduce and recycle.

I see to it that I appreciate the beauty of life as well as its challenges, trials and complexities.

I practically celebrate parenthood and womanhood in many ways I know and possibly can.

I strive hard to reward and thank someone everyday – making him/her feel the love and care I have.

Most of all, I always seek the guidance and grace of our dear Lord through my little prayers and heartfelt service to Him and to His people.

Everyday is indeed a miracle, a blessing and a new hope for everyone.

Let us all start our day right and begin to experience the kind of life HE wants us to have and work hand-in-hand to be the same person HE plans and designs us to be.

Celebrate life and be the BEST that WE truly can.

Have a blessed and beautiful life today, tomorrow and forever!

What We Only Have Right Now

Faith in HIM.
Unconditional Love.
Inspiration.
Courage.

Hope.
Trust.
Joy.

Gratitude.
Peace of Mind.
Serenity.

Each Other’s Lending Hands.
Our Little Prince’s smiles, hugs and kisses.

In these tough times, we are thankful that we still have each other as well as all those people whom we can always depend on. After all, having all of them is more than enough – such a wonderful and overwhelming blessing from up above. Cheers!

Proud to be a Filipino

If in each of my fights, the FILIPINO people are united, then I will fight everyday." - Manny Pacquiao

His statement has just made me smile and has touched my heart, too.

Actually, when it would be Manny Pacquiao's fight over another equally good boxer, Filipino from different walks of life who live in different ways and means, and of all ages would surely take a break, pause for a while, and watch - stopping us from anything that we do. Fellowmen, quite true, right?

Either we would watch with family, loved ones, friends, workmates, and even with people we barely know, we would surely shout out loud, cheer, smile, jump and be somehow crazy over his performance - sharing thoughts about how good Manny is.

Personally, whenever I see people around with that kind of scenario, I suddenly felt happy, proud and grateful.

Indeed, this kind of event has made US one... united, overwhelmed and inspired! Thanks for such remarkably amazing instances... Cheers!

Blogger's note: Acknowledgment to Hari ng Sablay. You have just inspired me to write this post. Yours are great, too. Keep it up, friend.
