My Facebook Status on the 1st day of 2010
Life has always been at its best because of YOU, our Savior and our GOD... my best friend and my LOVE. WE live a very happy and fulfilled life because of YOU.
My entire family has been in so many tough things in 2009, lots of tests of faith (fire and flood incidents that took everything away, a loss of a loved one, my hubby's dad...) that really tormented our hearts away. Yet, we are so proud that we're able to stand still, stronger, better and happier.
Indeed, we survived these trials because of God's love and grace as well as the love and support of people around us, friends, relatives and loved ones. With all these blessings, we are very optimistic. We truly are and forever will be thankful, prayerful and hopeful. GOD Bless US all! God is always GOOD. Jesus Loves Us. Mama Mary Loves Us.
Happy new year, everyone. Ren, Eieo and I wish YOU all a blessed, prayerful and joyous year ahead. Thanks for all the memories and love that we all shared in many great ways. May we all have a prosperous 2010.
Welcome 2010! Keep rockin' our worlds! Laughin’ out loud!

A Family Christmas Prayer
OUR Loving Father,
help us remember the birth of Jesus – that we may share in the song of the angels, the gladness of the shepherds, and worship of the wise men.
Close the door of hate and open the door of love all over the world. Let kindness come with every gift and good desires with every greeting. Deliver us from evil by the blessing which Christ brings, and teach us to be merry with clear hearts.
May the Christmas morning make us happy to be thy children, and Christmas evening bring us to our beds with grateful thoughts, forgiving and forgiven, for Jesus' sake.
This we ask through Christ, our Lord. Amen.

A Very Beautiful Prayer on My Birthday
On December 13, Sunday at exactly 12 midnight (Manila Time), I whispered this very special and beautiful prayer from my heart.
Dear Lord,
I thank You for giving me another year of life, happiness, serenity and good health. I thank You for all the people who have remembered me today, for all the countless blessings you have given me all year round, the achievements, experiences, successes, memories, opportunities and strengths.
I sincerely thank You for the sunshine, for the laughter, and for the gifts of family and friends that remind me of Your loving presence everyday.
I thank You, my dear Savior for all those tests of faith, sorrow and pain that made me stronger and drove me closer to You – trusting You more, holding unto You at all times. These have made us realize how blessed we are and reminded us to always be trusting, grateful and hopeful.
I thank you for another year that has passed and another year blessed with Your kindness and love. Thank You too for touching my life and let me experience Your goodness everyday. The gift of love and life that I receive from You is the greatest blessing that I would be always grateful for.
Forgive me for the times that I sinned against You and Your will and for the times of failure which indeed reminded me of my own weaknesses and of my strong need for you.
Help me to start this special day with a new attitude and plenty of gratitude. Let me make the best of each and every day; to still my mind so that I can hear from You. Lord, help me broaden my mind and faith that I can accept all things You have planned for me.
Bless me with Your wisdom and knowledge that I can share for Your glory. Let me not whine and whimper over things; please keep me safe, secured and pampered as always.
Be with me Lord to give the best response when I’m pushed beyond my limits. I know that when I can’t pray, You listen to my heart. Continue to use me to do Your will and continue to bless me that I may be a blessing to others. Keep me uplifted and inspired that I may have words of encouragement for others.
Lord, I also thank you for your wonderful gifts, my husband, Rainier, our little prince, Eieo and our families, loved ones and friends. Bless us greatly with Your love, divine wisdom and discernment. Keep us committed and bonded with Your great love; We love because You first loved us. Bless also our loving families that Your grace and love may pour forth and overflow on them. Let our families be a testament of Your goodness and blessings.
With all that I am, and with all that I have ...
I offer my everything, my life to You, my God.
This is what I have to say whenever I feel happy and inspired or even when I am in pain...
Because I know in my heart that indeed

Our Mother Mary…
Feast of the Immaculate Conception
"Chaire, Kecharitomene" "Gratia Plena"
We thank you for your guidance, intercession and motherly love. Your arms, open wide, have always been our sanctuary where we consistently find genuine serenity, comfort and peace.
In your womb, bore a Child, a Living God and a Divine Savior. We beg you to please pray for us and lead us to Jesus.
You have always kept your eyes on us and have touched our lives in many ways… so today as we struggle to find love, unity and justice, give us the blessing to still appreciate the good things that life has to offer.
Listen to Inay, watch the video and feel how blessed we are to have Her.
Let us all join hands in prayers. This has always been the greatest source of our Faith, Strength and Inspiration. God bless everyone!

The Happiest Christmas to Celebrate
There are still great reasons to celebrate Christmas this year...
The blaze that struck our humble homes...
We experienced TWO traumatic incidents in a row - all in the same year - 2009.
First, the fire incident last May 7, 2009 - that took everything away from us, we had zero at hand. All that we have are each other's hands, our Faith in HIM and the LOVE to and for everyone. Everything that we have worked hard for, turned into ashes. Nothing left except the good memories we spent each day and the lessons we learned from those experiences and talks we once had. We are thankful, indeed, that we have friends and relatives who extended their help and made us feel so important, loved and blessed. This truly gave us strength and the determination to start and rise from these catastrophes and WE DID IT...
Next, the typhoon Ondoy last September 26, 2009 - that left a large portion of the country into a horrible disaster. For the second time, all our things were taken away from us, very few were left, some were wet, most were gone, damaged and destroyed... Thanks to Ketsana (Ondoy).
We were one of those families who were forced to evacuate due to the very sudden increase of flood water - the highest level so far (almost in our ceilings).
No one expected this to happen. Everyone got affected - many families lost their houses and belongings, and so we were. Many individuals died... My father was one of them. And the saddest part, I could not do anything to save him... But then again, I am consoled knowing that he is in Good Hands now... Free from any worries and heartaches. I DID IT...
Now, Christmas is fast-approaching. Is there any reason for us to celebrate and still be grateful?
Yes, there are still plenty of reasons to celebrate and be merry:
* We learned to appreciate each blessing we receive from God.
* We learned that we have friends and relatives who love us dearly.
* We learned the virtue of giving and extending a hand to those who are need.
* We learned to become more optimistic and always stay hopeful and fulfilled.
* We learned to become more faithful to a living God who is always true to His promises.
* I learned that waking up every morning, seeing my wife and son is just enough reason to be thankful and to celebrate the happiest Christmas.
These trials can never put us down... We are thankful for these experiences for they made us stronger. God giveth, God taketh... Blessed be the Name of the Lord!
May all those who read this post be inspired and feel that this Christmas is still worth celebrating. Let us all be thankful to HIM.
- Rainier

Live a “Hakuna Matata” Life
Hakuna Matata is a Swahili phrase that is literally translated as "There are no worries". It is sometimes translated as "no worries", although is more commonly used similarly to the English phrase "no problem".
In 1994, the Walt Disney Animation Studios animated movie "The Lion King" brought the phrase into international recognition, featuring it prominently in the plot and devoting a song to it.
"Hakuna Matata" is a song from Disney's 32nd animated feature The Lion King. It is characterized by its simple 4/4 time, upbeat message and catchy lyrics.
As our dearest Little Eieo would always love to listen to it and watch the video a million times, Hubby and I hope that he puts the message in mind - praying that he learns to live a "Hakuna Matata" life.
I love these lines as it helps us realize a lot of things...
Hakuna Matata! What a wonderful phrase.
Hakuna Matata! Ain't no passing craze.
It means no worries for the rest of your days.
It's our problem-free philosophy.
Hakuna Matata!
Hakuna Matata?
Yeah. It's our motto!
What's a motto?
Nothing. What's a-motto with you?
Those two words will solve all your problems.
Hakuna Matata! What a wonderful phrase!
Hakuna Matata! Ain't no passing craze.
It means no worries for the rest of your days.
It's our problem-free philosophy.
Hakuna Matata!
Hakuna Matata! Hakuna matata!
Hakuna Matata! Hakuna matata!
Hakuna Matata! Hakuna matata!
Hakuna Matata! Hakuna--
It means no worries for the rest of your days.
It's our problem-free philosophy.
Hakuna Matata!
I say "Hakuna"
I say "Matata"
Here's the video... Enjoy!

Manny Pacquiao Makes a History
Pacquiao vs. Cotto
I would like to share with you the following words of appreciation and recognition to our country’s pride, Pacman – as posted by different writers and bloggers around the world.
On November 14, 2009, Pacquiao defeated former WBO welterweight champion, Miguel Cotto by TKO in the 12th round, at the MGM Grand Las Vegas, to earn his seventh world title in as many weight classes.
Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao, the "People's Champ" and fighting pride of the Philippines, makes boxing history with his knock out win over Puerto Rico's Miguel Cotto. Pacquiao won the World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight title by stopping Cotto at 55 seconds in the 12th round. Pacquiao became the first fighter to win seven world titles in seven weight classes. Mabuhay ang Pilipinas!
World’s No. 1 pound-for-pound fighter, Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao beat defending champion Miguel Cotto in their “Firepower” showdown by TKO during the 12th round at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas November 14, 2009 (Nov. 15, Sunday, Manila).
Manny Pacquiao won and grab the title in WBO welterweight champion against Cotto and became the only fighter ever capture seven world titles in seven weight divisions. He made Filipinos again very proud.
Again, just like what I posted in my previous post, I’d like to quote…
"If in each of my fights, the FILIPINO people are united, then I will fight everyday." - Manny Pacquiao
Congrats, Emmanuel Dapidran Pacquiao!
Congrats, Pacman!
Congratulations, Filipinos!
To GOD be the glory.

Vote for the OUR Pride... Kuya Efren
I just did one great thing for one of my fellowmen, Efren "Kuya Ef" Peñaflorida. I voted for him several times not mainly because He is also a Filipino but certainly because I personally admire his visions, desires and noble works. (Not all of us have the passion and the courage to do that, right?)
Kuya Ef is a teacher and social worker in the Philippines. He has been recognized as one of the "2009 CNN Heroes" for his outstanding advocacy to educate Filipino out-of-school youth through "pushcart classes."
His growing concern for the unschooled children in his hometown led Peñaflorida to establish Dynamic Teen Company (DTC). At that time, he was only sixteen. He envisioned this organization as a tool to reach the underserved Filipino youth by providing free tutorials. He asked three fellow high school students to devote some of their time to teach children in the slum areas every Saturday. After ten years, DTC has gained around 10,000 memberships and conducted tutorials for approximately 1,500 children.
Today, DTC's "pushcart classroom" also teaches basic reading and writing to street children. Responsible, systematic and principled, Kuya Ef has actively made a difference in the lives of children in depressed areas, has dreamed of addressing the growing issue of juvenile delinquents - inculcating the values of education of today's youth.
Kindly cast your vote now. Make Kuya Ef a CNN Hero today; he is truly a modern hero who deserves to be known globally so as to inspire others. Please help me spread the word and make yourselves in.
Voting continues until Thursday, November 19, 2009 (6 a.m. ET). There is no limit on the number of times you may vote for the Hero of the Year. Have some clicks today and make Filipinos proud.

Lucky to Marry My Best Friend...
I am thankful that GOD let me get married, experience to have a family of my own, and celebrate both womanhood and parenthood.
I am grateful that He made me fall in love with the same man over and over.
I am blessed I married my best friend.
I am glad I did, I do and I always will.
I am thankful, grateful, happy and blessed to have Rainier as my hubby.
May GOD bless us as we celebrate, enjoy and spend our marriage together as we oath to have this as our lifetime commitment.
We pledge and we pray.
In HIM, we trust.
By the way, please take time to listen to this duet by Colbie Marie Caillat and Jason Mraz - LUCKY.
I really enjoy listening to it – love this music so much. Hope you'll like it, too.

Reflection... Who I Am Inside. ..
Look at me,
I will never pass for a perfect bride,
or a perfect daughter.
Can it be, I'm not meant to play this part.
Now I see,
That if I were truly to be myself, I would break my family's heart
Who is that girl I see
Staring straight, back at me
Why is my reflection someone I don't know
Somehow I cannot hide, who I am
though I've tried.
When will my reflection show who I am inside.
When will my reflection show who I am inside.
Enjoy the video. Take a peek and sing along.
Ms. Lea Salonga indeed gives justice to the song. What a wonderful version! Loving my own. So proud of HER and her Music. Proud to be a Filipino.

Minimalism at Home…
Before the traumatic fire and flood incidents happened and took away the material things and resources that we have, hubby and I used to really buy things from different shopping centers - malls, bazaars, online shopping stores and the likes. We would certainly have these material things and resources in our shopping carts, whether we necessarily needed such or not.
But certainly not now, after those tests of faith, we have decided to practice minimalism: to only buy things that we basically need, life’s basics. Today, we only settle for the best, most reliable and quality appliances, furniture, utensils, house wares, and many more. However, we only settle for one of all kinds – one set of and for everything. We now put everything in place – exactly where they are expected to be seen – spacious, light, refreshing, relaxing, unique, innovative, creative, appropriate and beautiful... yet truly affordable.
Now, we’ve only got the right and best things that our home sweet home can only accommodate.
I love it more. I love each piece exactly where and how it is placed and designed to make our little bungalow a mansion, our dream house. Laughs and chills!
Minimalism is our style, our choice and our decision. Now, you can make yours. Enjoy!

This Ends The Semester
I love my students... in the University.
They are my happiness, my inspiration and my motivation to always come to class on time, with a smile and a bunch of creative, innovative and enjoyable teaching strategies and activities - fun, enjoyable, never boring yet so effective methods.
Without saying a word or taking any efforts, they encourage me to continue my deeds and still push through with my aspirations, dreams and missions. You have always helped me in many great ways - just like Eieo, you are my bundles of joy.
Thanks for keeping me inspired, motivated and fulfilled. See you around, my dear students. Good luck and GOD Bless us all.
Teaching is my passion; it is my cup of tea... a very soothing, calming and detoxifying tea, my ultimate beverage.

Gifts and Blessings Filipinos Have
Modern Bayanihan.
We thank God for these gifts...
The Gift of Laughter.
The Gift of Music.
The Gift of Faith.
Indeed, we, Filipinos are happy people, music lovers and faithful followers of Christ. We live with and by these, God's blessings and graces.
We've proven ourselves that we love one another - we care, we understand and we are all willing to help - lending a helping hand towards happiness, success and unity. Nothing can stop us from living and being there for one another - not even you, Ondoy (Ketsana).
In God, We Trust.

Another Test of Faith in 2009
"Mai, if we know how to embrace God's blessings, who are we not to accept life's trials and sufferings, His challenges." - Hubby Rainier
A fire incident (May 7, 2009) took everything away from us, our houses, things, properties, assets, savings, and a lot more. We have nothing except each other’s hands, our son, Eieo, families, relatives, friends, clients and colleagues. We had no material things at all.
Though this traumatic incident happened right after planning our future, of a better life and a more stable and happier lifestyle, we were proud to say that we were able to accept the fact that though we had to get detached from all of these earthly stuffs, we never felt sad, worried and depressed. In other words, we never thought that we could actually live with nothing at hand.
Despite of it all, we were still thankful and grateful to GOD for we were able to cope with and recover from that test of faith – the fire incident.
Unexpectedly, on September 26 (of the same year, 2009), we faced another test of faith. We were some of those who got affected by typhoon Ondoy’s (Ketsana) aftermath. For the second time, we needed to turn our backs to our house, things, properties, assets, savings, and a lot more just to save ourselves from this calamity. We had to relocate to save our lives.
On our way out of the house and as the floods were coming our way, destroying many houses and properties, I was only thinking of one thing: GOD has His plans – even a lot better than what we have.
However, the saddest part was we lost a loved one – my father-in-law passed away. He was drowned because of very high, unexpected and unusual floods. It was too late when it was his time to get rescued. Losing a loved one is indeed the most painful of it all.
When that happened, one thing was running in my mind: I had to be strong for my hubby. He needed me the most at these trying times and so I did – thank and praise GOD.
Honestly, we were hurting; we cried, mourned and grieved BUT we never asked GOD why. In fact, our faith and trust in HIM get even stronger, better. We are holding on to HIM – tighter than ever. He is indeed our source of inspiration, understanding, wisdom and strength. And prayers have always been so powerful, so calming, so reliable, such a relief, our spiritual energizers.
These are indeed tests of faith and we strongly believe that God has His plans after all. Again and as always, we are optimistic that we can surpass all these trials and be able to recover with God’s help, in His time.
Thy will be done.
God bless us all!

Prayer of St. Francis of Assisi (Panalangin para sa Kapayapaan)
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury,pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master,
Grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
Amen
Panginoon,
Gawin mo akong kasangkapan ng iyong kapayapaan,
Saan man may alitan, paghasikin mo ako ng pagibig.
Sa may pagkukulang, kapatawaran
Sa may pag-aalinlangan, pananampalataya
Sa kasawiang-palad, pag-asa
Sa kadiliman, liwanag
Sa kalungkutan, ligaya.
O Panginoon,
Loobin mo nawang higit kong naisin
AMEN.

He Died For Me, I Live For HIM.
Who am I... by Casting Crowns
Who am I, that the Lord of all the earth
Would care to know my name
Would care to feel my hurt
Who am I, that the Bright and Morning Star
Would choose to light the way
For my ever wandering heart
Not because of who I am
But because of what You’ve done
Not because of what I’ve done
But because of who You are
I am a flower quickly fading
Here today and gone tomorrow
A wave tossed in the ocean
Vapor in the wind
Still You hear me when I’m calling
Lord, You catch me when I’m falling
And You’ve told me who I am
I am Yours, I am Yours
Who am I, that the eyes that see my sin
Would look on me with love and watch me rise again
Who am I, that the voice that calmed the sea
Would call out through the rain
And calm the storm in me
Not because of who I am
But because of what You’ve done
Not because of what I’ve done
But because of who You are
I am a flower quickly fading
Here today and gone tomorrow
A wave tossed in the ocean
Vapor in the wind
Still You hear me when I’m calling
Lord, You catch me when I’m falling
And You’ve told me who I am
I am Yours
Not because of who I am
But because of what You’ve done
Not because of what I’ve done
But because of who You are
I am a flower quickly fading
Here today and gone tomorrow
A wave tossed in the ocean
Vapor in the wind
Still You hear me when I’m calling
Lord, You catch me when I’m falling
And You’ve told me who I am
I am Yours
I am Yours
Whom shall I fear
Whom shall I fear
‘Cause I am Yours
I am Yours...

The Best and My Favorite Post on This Blog
I would just like to repost hubby’s message for me days after giving birth to OUR Little Prince, our Unico Hijo, Eieo dated August 22 of last year, 2008.
He posted his message on my personal blog without my knowledge and permission – he did some intrusions on my blog (I perfectly love it though). When I checked my blog to make another post and to my surprise, I was overwhelmed and so kinikilig reading his words and message. Each word and every line had touched my heart and made me shed joyful tears - wasn't really expecting that.
I was so happy then because he seldom says I love you and expresses his feelings – he is not that expressive and showy. But, with this post, I know that I am still the woman he fell in love with almost ten years ago, someone to whom he spent his bachelor days with for five years and to whom he tied a knot almost three years ago. So, here it is… just want to share my happiness with you, my dear readers. Feel his love as much as I did. :-)
LOVING MY WIFE MORE…
It has been a week since our little prince was born…
And honestly, I admire how you managed the pains and long hours of labor just to give birth to our precious one.
I know how you sacrifice even your life and I’m so thankful that God saved you from such risk.
No wonder, pain and hard work really result to glory.
Now, I love you more!
Not only because you’ve given me a child but also because I firmly believe you’re worthy of it.
Certainly, this is not a commitment but I will try my best not to cause you further burden.
I love you better…
I vow to take care of you and our offspring as long as I live.
Let us always replenish our love, everyday; avoiding petty quarrels that make our relationship uneasy.
Let us just focus on how we can abide by our promise to love each other and care for our children.
For who knows, we still are partners, couples even after our lives on earth.
Hope you forgive me for my intrusion. - Daddy Rainier
For me, this is indeed the best post in this blog. I love you too, Dad! Likewise, Mommy Myraine

Why We Are So Addicted to FACEBOOK
Facebook's applications and features are all good and interesting.
We love Farmville, Farmtown, Pet Society and Restaurant City; these simply relax us and get energized, challenged and determined even if we are just in our own comfort zones.
We enjoy reading and posting ideas and thoughts on its Walls as well as looking into our FB friends’ profiles, photos, videos and blogs.
FB widens our social network both here and abroad. Because of this, we’ve got so many virtual friends.
FB makes it less awkward when communicating with strangers or people you are not familiar with.
FB allows its users to discuss and share interests and ideas on various topics - anything under the sun.
With FB, communication is a lot easier; self-expression has become really possible and achievable; disclosing oneself has been less difficult and challenging; and, sharing networks has been effective and very useful.
Most of all, we appreciate and thank FB for the privilege to getting closer to clients, old friends, distant relatives or loved ones, former colleagues, and even our mere acquaintances whom we’ve lost contact and communication with.
We simply love our FB accounts. Hope you’ll create yours, too – as soon as possible. You might be missing its fun, excitement and pleasure. Indulge and experience the kind of convenience and satisfaction that FB provides – not just to my hubby, my family and friends but also to all those Facebook addicts and enthusiasts like Me!
I am truly a certified Facebook fanatic – something I think I must be proud of!
Facebook. My social networking website and personal software. My outlet. My online apparatus. My stress minimizer. My virtual friend.

I Just Need a YES or a NO!
Would he still be happy on our 25th anniversary?
Would he still get inspired by me and my existence?
Would he still believe in me as well as in my perceptions and insights?
Would he still admire and want me?
Would he still hug me on our Nth night together?
Would he still kiss me goodnight on my 60th birthday?
Would he still care even if I am old, sick and dying?
Would he still sing a song for me?
Would he still invite me to dance?
Would he still laugh with me?
Would he still enjoy being with me, sleeping next to me as well as our pillow talks?
Would his love for me be the same as what he used to?
Would he never get fed up and tired of understanding my weaknesses?
Would love never fade?
Would he never leave me?
Would he never leave for another girl?
Would he never be tempted?
Would this really be for better or for worse?
Would this really be for richer or for poorer?
Would this really be in sickness and in health?
Would this really be a lifetime commitment?
I really don’t know. So many questions, can’t find enough courage to ask. Please help.
Well, I just can’t help it; I am so in love with him.
It seems that I really can’t last a day without him;
I can never bear the idea that we can be so near yet so far.
All I am so sure of is that I love him more than I love myself.
I know this is wrong but what can I do. I’ve been like this for almost seven years now.
But is it really true that I love him more than he loves me?
Or, am I just too blind and numb to see and feel his extraordinary ways of expressing his LOVE for me?
But I graciously thank GOD for giving me the chance to love someone like this man,
for making me feel this way, and for allowing me to love and be loved.
Believe or not, I am never miserable.
Little did he only know that I am even grateful and so happy.
I feel so blessed and inspired.
Listen to this. I PROMISE, you'll always be in LOVE. Special thanks and appreciation to Yeng Constantino for composing and singing this nice song. Keep it up! You make Filipinos proud! Go girl...

New Face of Philippine Politics
A Wonderful Twist on Presidency.
One of the best speeches I've ever heard and witnessed... this made us smile and thank GOD. Two thumbs up! Take a peek on this news report and begin to speak your minds!
"I am announcing my support for the candidacy of Noynoy Aquino for President in 2010," Sen. Mar Roxas said at a press conference at the Club Filipino in Greenhills, San Juan, September 1.
"Noy has made it clear to me that he wants to carry the torch of leadership. The passing of our beloved former President Aquino has reawakened a passion among us. I acknowledge this as fuel to bring us to the realization of our dream: Good will triumph over evil," he said in his speech.
"Ito na ang pinakamabigat na desisyon sa buhay ko. Maniwala man kayo o hindi, ginagawa ko ito para sa bayan, para sa inyo. I do this for unity in support of change. And if that means that somebody must make the sacrifice, it must be me. Ako na," Roxas said, alluding to his political ads.
Among those present were LP chairman emeritus and former Senate President Jovito Salonga, former education secretary Florencio "Butch" Abad, and Aquino.
He said his decision to withdraw his 2010 bid was placing the interests of the country above his own.
"Country above self. Bayan bago sarili," he said at the beginning of his speech.
Roxas said that he and Aquino share the same "outrage over the mess we are all in, the same way we share the solution--clean, honest, selfless public service."
"Noynoy and I want to make a difference, but we also know that we need to unite to achieve what we want," he said.
"Over the weekend, Noynoy and I had many long conversations... Masinsinang usapan. We agreed: Let us forget about ourselves for a moment. This is not about us, this is about our people and our country. This is about our common dream. The dream of our parents. But let us not remain a country of dreamers. Tama na ang pangarap. Gawin na natin, ngayon," Roxas said.
Before ending his speech, Roxas gave a message to Aquino.
"To you, Noy, I say: I began the campaign to sow the seeds para sa pagbabago at reporma. You must now be the one to grow them in the arena of leadership," Roxas said.
"Hindi kami maghihiwalay ni Noy. I will stand with him," he said.
He also had a message for his supporters, saying he won't be abandoning them.
"At sa aking mga kababayan, sa mga nagtiwala sa akin: Mahal na mahal ko po kayo. Mahal na mahal ko po ang ating bayan. Hindi rin tayo maghihiwalay. Itutuloy natin ang pagbabago sa ating bansa. Itutuloy natin ang laban para sa reporma," he said.
He, however, did not say if he will be Aquino's running mate, or if he would run for re-election in the Senate. Noynoy is expected to make announcement about his decision for 2010 on Wednesday.
Prior to the press conference, LP officials declined to confirm the announcement, but LP leader and former representative Nereus Acosta told ABS-CBN's Pia Hontiveros prior to the 6:30 pm press conference that the LP is heeding the clamor of the people.
Acosta said Roxas will be explaining the rationale for the changes in the LP's political plans. He said national interest, rather than personal interest, became the basis for Roxas' decision.
Since Roxas announced his decision to run as LP's presidential candidate, he has spent heavily on political ads.
Both the Roxas and Aquino families have deep roots in the Liberal Party.
Roxas' grandfather, former President Manuel Roxas, founded the Liberal Party in the 1960's. The elder Manuel was the first president of the Philippine Republic.
Roxas' father, former Senator Gerardo M. Roxas, was the president of the party from 1969 to 1982. "My father led it during the most difficult times of Martial Law. Sa harap ng peligro, sa kabila ng napakaraming tukso, hindi siya sumuko. (In difficulties and temptations, he did not give up.)"
"He inspired me-to stay the course, to fight the good fight, to pass the test of true character. To believe," Roxas shared about his father.
Aquino's parents were also involved in the Liberal Party. His father, former Senator Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino Jr. was the party's most vocal member against the Marcos rule. His mother, former President Cory Aquino, ran as a guest candidate of the party in the 1986 snap election.
In the weeks leading to Roxas' announcement on Tuesday, Filipinos mourned the August 1 death of Cory Aquino, a democracy icon, and commemorated Ninoy Aquino's death last August 21.

Selfless. Responsible. Sincere. Admirable. Confident. Noble. Inspired. Blessed.
Sen. Mar Roxas, Mabuhay ka!
If this possibly happens, Benigno "NoyNoy" C. Aquino Jr. will surely get votes from our families, friends, mai hubby and me. God bless Philippines! Mabuhay ang Pilipinas!

Handog para sa Aming Mahal na Patron na si San Francisco ng Assisi
Here's my first ever post in Filipino... so excited to launch and discuss this Talumpati to Grade school students. Good Luck, kids!

How Hard It Is To Lose a Grandfather
Quotes on Loving and Losing the Greatest Granddad…
Perfect love sometimes does not come until the first grandchild. ~Welsh Proverb
The reason grandchildren and grandparents get along so well is that they have a common enemy. ~Sam Levenson
A child needs a grandparent, anybody's grandparent, to grow a little more securely into an unfamiliar world. ~Charles and Ann Morse
A grandfather is someone with silver in his hair and gold in his heart. ~Anonymous
The best place to be when you're sad is Grandpa's lap. ~Anonymous
One of the most powerful handclasps is that of a new grandbaby around the finger of a grandfather. ~Joy Hargrove
Granddads…
Grandfathers are fathers who are grand,
Restoring the sense that our most precious things
Are those that do not change much over time.
No love of childhood is more sublime,
Demanding little, giving on demand,
Far more inclined than most to grant the wings
Allowing us to reach enchanted lands.
Though grandfathers must serve as second fathers,
Helping out with young and restless hearts,
Each has all the patience wisdom brings,
Remembering our passions more than others,
Soothing us with old and well-honed arts.
Grandfathers are the mountains we call home:
Rugged, rock-faced remnants of our souls,
Alps far grander than our hills and knolls,
Now sheltering the fields through which we roam.
Dare we understand what they have been:
Fathers of the children of our dreams?
As we knew them, bathing in their streams,
They were the wakers of the gods within.
How beautiful they stand, though far away!
Each the guardian of a long lost child,
Reached alone by those whose love has smiled
So happily it danced right through their day.
With all acknowledgment to all those great minds behind these words. Thanks!
The song you'll see or hear below left an impact… Bye, Bye (by Mariah Carey)Hoooh, I can really relate to it. I just do hope people, who love listening to this, know the real meaning behind each line, each word. Such a wonderful message… I’ll share it with you, peeps!
This is for my sweetest granddad, my dearest Lolo Leovy…

How Your Guardian Angels Can Help You
Do you believe in miracles and angels as well as having your own guardian angel to save you from any harm and protect you to the best that he could? Do you know your guardian angel? Do you know how he can help you live your life to the fullest as he lights your path towards Him? Well, read on and realize how your guardian angels consistently stay with you and amazingly guide you twenty four hours a day, seven days a week.
We all have our own guardian angel to protect and guide us all through out – day and night. However, not all of us are aware, who is our own guardian angel and how he can help us in many different ways.
Our beliefs that there are guardian angels can actually inspire us to do, think and feel good about ourselves and among other people, our fellowmen. If we have been touched by an angel, for sure, it has also changed our lifestyles as well as the way we see life and its wonders.
Guardian Angels: Helping Us in Many Ways
I’ve mentioned earlier that our guardian angels play a very vital role in our life and in our spirituality. When we are in the womb of our mothers, we already received two great blessings: the gift of life and the gift of an angel. Supported by Biblical scriptures and other reliable references, the existence of guardian angels has become recognized by Christians around the globe since the early 5th century.
In today’s modern world, we can always count on them for immediate guidance and spiritual assistance whenever we think we are on a struggle, a test of faith, or a tough time. Our guardian angels, our invisible protectors are also believed to keep us not just away from any harm but also from any temptations, giving us the protection and the strength that we need. Most of all, our guardian angels make us believe that God truly exists.
My Experiences and Journeys
On a personal note, I consider my guardian angel as my security blanket, my spiritual confidant and my very best friend. Being with me since birth, I have been confident enough to be at my best and be that someone God intends and designs me to be. If ever I have done wrong or felt depressed and stressed out, in my quiet time, he suddenly becomes my medium to come closer with my Creator and my Savior. With him, I know that I am well-guided, protected, safe, secured and blessed.
After saying my prayers and my intentions, I can perfectly admit that I am intellectually recharged, physically replenished and spiritually rejuvenated; only through praying I can feel and experience this one in a million total make-over. From there, I can regain my strength and enhance my wisdom.
Take a peek to this traditional Catholic prayer to one's guardian angel as I used to say this when I was a kid along with my other classmates, playmates and friends.
Angel of God, my guardian dear
to whom His love commits me here.
Ever this day/night be at my side
to light, to guard, to rule and guide.
Amen.
May your life be always touched by an angel, then, today and forever. Have a peaceful and wonderful Christian life to live. Let us also not forget to see the angels in other people, angels in human disguise – I think that’s the most important.

Come and celebrate with us. See you there after school!
Isn’t it cute, sweet and unique? Hubby and 1 really tried our very best to make it appear and sound so different, extra special and so personalized. We wanted all the best for our son, for Eieo.
Here is the list of our priorities before his big day:
Setting up a party theme: Ordering and buying Sesame Street Characters, stuffed toys (Elmo for Eieo).
Completing our guests’ lists.
Meeting with the events organizers, coordinators and caterers as well as the clowns, magicians, waiters, etc.
Purchasing all the necessary party needs, stuffs, decorations and accessories.
Venue, birthday cake, chocolate fountains, bubble machines, ice cream and food carts, party needs and souvenirs reservations.
Photo and video coverage.
Invitation lay-out, printing, packaging and distribution.
Party banners and tarpaulin lay-out and printing.
Birthday food taste test.
His Party Needs:
Party and loot bags, party hats, balloons with different shapes and sizes, pop-ups, prizes for games, assorted candies and lollipops, toys for all ages, stuffs for palayok, piñata and pabitin, kiddie and adult sets of chairs and tables, including all the other catering services.
All these must be enjoyed by our 200 guests. Ren and I are keeping our fingers crossed that this will be a successful, fun-filled and exciting event.
We do hope that his first birthday celebration be next to perfection. GOD permits.
See you there!
Mommy Mai and Daddy Ren
Pictures were taken when he was only 11 (at the studio), 7 (in his high-tech walker), 6 (dad made him reach the ceilings of SM the block, one of his mall tours) and 4 (playing and hiding in the blankets) months.

Our Love on a Cake
Personalized and extra special, our wedding cake was one of the things we listed on top of our wedding planning and preparation priorities. We wanted it to look and appear so unique that’s why we had a couple on top of it with a very unusual character to project. That was the same as our love, imperfect but so unique and special – incomparable and irresistible.
As we tied a knot last December 16 of 2006, we were so grateful and overwhelmed to live as one, be blessed by GOD and be loved by His people after all the things that we had been through – trials, struggles, tests of faith. Our love is definitely tested by time and handed over by destiny. (so sweet!)
We thanked GOD then, today and forever… as His will and plans always work well and turn out to be the same as ours, we are so grateful for all the graces and blessings we have.
In our 7-year of relationship and a decade of friendship, our Little Prince, our dearest SON, Leo Antonio (Eieo for short) is the greatest gift we’ve ever had, the most rewarding experience, and the best accomplishment and achievement.
As more and more people would love to willingly help and support us by all means, all the way, we've sincerely and religiously pledged to always pass the good deeds on.
We are happy, thankful and overwhelmed; and forever, we will be – I’m sure.
May we continuously have a fruitful, happy, successful and blessed married life. Let’s keep the love burning, sweetie.
To God be the glory…
Wedding Cakes…
Wedding cakes are essential parts of any wedding ceremony around the globe. These sweet, tasty and mouth-watering treats have long been a symbol of the newly-wed couple’s good luck charm for a happy marriage. Although the size, shape and contents of the wedding cake have changed quite drastically through the centuries, the tradition of the cake itself remains constant.
Although its appearance and style may continue to change and adapt in years to come, the wedding cake will always retain its ancient symbolism and honored place at all wedding receptions.

We Humbly and Sincerely Pray Oh GOD
A Good Leader with Genuine Leadership...
Leadership is hard to define;
Let us be the ones to define it with justice.
Leadership is like a handful of water;
Let us be the people to share it with those who thirst.
Leadership is not about watching and correcting;
Let us remember it is about listening and connecting.
Leadership is not about telling people what to do;
Let us find out what people want.
Leadership is less about the love of power and more about the power of love.
As we continue to undertake the role of a good leader, let us be affirmed by the servant whom we witness in our Savior, Jesus Christ.
Let us walk in the path He has set and let those who will, follow.
Let our greatest passion be compassion.
Our greatest strength, love.
Our greatest victory, the reward of peace.
In leading, let us never fail to follow.
In loving, let us never fail.
This can possibly happen if we think, act, work and pray hand-in-hand.
Here is our family prayer for the future Philippine President:
Almighty Father,
God of power and might, wisdom and justice,
we praise and thank You for the gifts of life, peace and love.
We humbly beseech that You assist us with Your Spirit of counsel and fortitude.
Bless the next Philippine President and other government leaders and officials
that they may always seek many ways of righteousness, justice and mercy.
Grant that they may be enabled by your powerful protection to lead our country with all honesty and integrity.
Give us, O God, leaders whose hearts are large enough to match the breadth of our own souls and give us souls strong enough to follow such leaders of good vision and wisdom.
Give us the hearts to choose the leaders who will work with other leaders and together will sincerely serve the Filipinos with all their heart – no self-interests, no ulterior motives and no personal desires.
Give us leaders who lead this nation to virtue without seeking to impose our kind of virtue on the virtue of others; leaders those who can differ strength from power, growth from greed, leadership from dominance, and real greatness from the trappings of grandiosity.
Give us a government that provides for the advancement of this country and stability of its economy without taking resources from others to achieve it.
We trust You, Great God, to open our hearts to learn from those to whom You speak in different tongues and to respect the life and words of those to whom You entrusted the good of others – in all nations.
We beg you, Our Dear Father, give us the vision as a people to know where national leadership truly lies, to pursue it diligently, to require it to protect human rights for everyone, everywhere.
We ask these things, through Your Son, Jesus Christ, Our Lord, and Our Blessed Mother, Mama Mary with minds open to Your word and hearts that trust in Your eternal care.
Amen.
Myraine, Rainier and Eieo

A Tribute to OUR Dear Madam Cory Aquino
Who she was, she is and she will always be…
A passionate and caring wife to Sen. Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino.
A loving and understanding mother to her children.
A sweet and thoughtful Lola to her grandchildren.
A trustworthy friend.
A creative artist, a painter.
A religious and meek Christian.
A prayerful and grateful fellow.
A devoted prayer and democracy advocate.
A woman of prayer, dignity, principles, integrity and empowerment.
An influential people power icon.
A considerate and supportive politician.
The first lady president in the Philippines and in Asia.
Our former president.
Famous. Rich. Loving. Kind. Blessed. Grateful.
Farewell to OUR Beloved Former President… Mrs. Corazon Cojuangco – Aquino…
Your works, words and service to mankind, your legacy will live forever in the hearts of the Filipino as well as those whom you have touched their hearts and changed their lives.
As she joins her Creator in Heaven… her death.
At the age of 76 on August 1, 2009, 3:18 a.m., at the Makati Medical Center, Mrs. Mrs. Corazon Aquino died of cardiopulmonary arrest after complications of colon cancer. She was diagnosed with the disease in March 2008 but kept up public appearances this year. A religious Catholic, she regularly attended weekend Holy Mass until shortly before being admitted to hospital in late June.
All Roman Catholic dioceses had started requiem masses for Aquino, after they held "healing masses". Meanwhile, the government declared a week of mourning for her death. Political figures both in the local and international arena claim that the Filipinos have just lost a mother and a guiding voice of the people.
Also, many individuals around the globe have extended sympathy and expressed their grief; we along with other people from different nations have truly admired her extraordinary courage, determination, and moral leadership, which serve as an inspiration to all and exemplify the best in the Filipino nation.
Again, we thank you. We'll let the yellow ribbon live on, generation to generation.
We pray for your soul – eternal peace and serenity with OUR Creator, Almighty Father.
With Love and Prayers, Myraine, Rainier and Eieo
