In
the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
Our
God and Almighty Father, we are gathered here today to bear witness
and celebrate the heroism of our patriot, Dr. Jose Rizal. We thank
you for giving us a noble hero who imparted us his wisdom and
courageous accomplishments to awaken our forefathers’ nationalism.
Like
Rizal, help us to love our country more and commit ourselves to serve
our fellowmen with all honesty, dedication and responsiveness. Guide
our youths that they may adhere to the principles and values of our
national hero. Lead us to the path of selflessness for us to become a
man for others and a hero on our own simple ways.
We
firmly believe in your graciousness and mercy. Bless our city, our
beloved Meycauayan. Bless our leaders and all those who extend their
efforts in making this city progressive, peaceful and a place where
we can all live harmoniously.
We
ask these in Jesus’ name. Amen.
